The materials needed are goat skin, small string and long string. The wet goat skin is a little bit smelly. There are 24 holes in the goat skin. First you thread the string through the goat skin. Secondly you tighten the skin so its not all floppy so the top of the skin is flat. If you touch the wet skin it can make it bumpy. Your drum will be ready the next day.

I think the students did a fantastic job at making their drums.
ReplyDeleteFantastic work everyone! I wish we could all have made drums. Wouldn't it be great if we all had a drum to play together? The sound would be terrific. Ms Davidson
ReplyDeleteNice drums! you must have had a great time making those drums. Lucky you. Do you take them home or are they for the school?

Thanks for all the nice comments. Yes Ms Davidson that would be awesome if we all had a drum to play together. Alexander, most of the drums are being taken home. Seven children have been selected to make a drum for the school.
